Thanks to each person who came out to help with our annual fall cleanup on Saturday, October 19th, 2024! Thanks especially to our faithful 4-H Livestock Club members who have helped us with spring and fall cleanups for several years!

We now have street signs and a cemetery map sign! As a result of our successful 2022 fund raising campaign, many of you contributed toward the purchase and installation of 16 directional signs and a map sign! Thank you for this great addition
to Graham Cemetery!

If you have any questions, submit them to grahamcemetery@gmail.com, leave a message on our Facebook page, or use the Contact page of this website.
The GCA Board of Trustees appreciates your ongoing support!

"A cemetery is a history of the people--
a perpetual record of yesterday
and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today.
A cemetery exists because
every life is worth loving and remembering--always."

Author unknown

By deed dated August 4, 1868, Mr. Richard S. Boulware conveyed five acres of land to Alexander Daley, E. W. Rowe, and W. G. Williams to hold the same in trust and to administer it as a graveyard.  Mr. David Graham contributed the purchase price of the land, which is thought to be the basis for the naming of Graham Cemetery.

The current Cemetery covers  approximately 10 acres.  Approximately 7,000 people have been interred in Graham Cemetery.  Among the dead are more than 200 Confederate soldiers, including some unidentified soldiers.  There is space for over 10,000 gravesites altogether.

The Mission of Graham Cemetery

is to assure the owners of grave spaces that the cemetery will be managed and operated in a manner which is understood and fair to all and which will maintain, and wherever possible, enhance its value, beauty, and reverence as a final resting place for the deceased.

The Orange County 4-H Livestock Club has been helping us with Spring and Fall Volunteer Clean-Up for several years.  We greatly appreciate their help!  This picture was taken on November 11, 2023, courtesy of Patti Knight.
