purchase of grave spaces

Persons desiring to obtain interment rights in Graham Cemetery are referred to one of the Trustees who will assist by showing available lots. Upon having made a lot selection and arrangements for payment, the Trustee will record the grave space assigned. The Cemetery records all Certificates of Interment Rights at the cemetery office.

All interments, either casket or sealed urn, shall be preceded by a completed Graham Cemetery Request for Interment. Cedar Lane Columbarium provides individuals with inurnment rights as an alternative to in ground interments. Fees for interments and inurnments apply.

perpetual care

The purchase price of all grave spaces in the Cemetery includes a minimal deposit for perpetual care; the general care of the entire Cemetery grounds and interment spaces. Perpetual care does not include maintenance repair, or replacement of memorial markers which are the sole responsibility of the Record Owner of the lot or of the estate of the the party interred. Grave owners must ensure that the markers are kept in good repair.

You may visit the cemetery from sunrise to sunset.

You can help by removing out of season flowers and decorations from gravesites.  We invite you to join us for our annual volunteer clean-up days in the spring and fall.  This will also give you an opportunity to learn more about current projects at the cemetery.  We are always looking for volunteers to serve on the Board of Trustees!

Most definitely!  Contributions are very much appreciated. Please send to Graham Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 826, Orange, Virginia 22960.  You will receive in turn a letter of appreciation with an acknowledgment of your donation for your tax purposes.

Our caretaker has the sole responsibility of mowing the entire cemetery.  He is unable to keep the entire cemetery at the same grass height at the same time.  If we have long periods of rain, that presents an obstacle as well.  We ask for your patience and understanding.
